The Estrella Damm Top 50 New Zealand Gastropubs, sets out to celebrate and showcase the very best of the premium food-led pubs in the country.
New Zealand's gastropub scene is abuzz with excitement as the Estrella Damm Top 50 New Zealand Gastropub Awards get set to spotlight the best food-led pubs across the nation.
Entries will open from the 7th of October and gastropubs across the country will be vying it out for their chance to be heroed in the top 50 list.
The competition, hosted by Hospitality New Zealand and sponsored by Estrella Damm, aims to spotlight the best food-led pubs across the nation, with gastropubs from all corners invited to participate. Public votes will determine the Top 50 list and a panel of distinguished hospitality judges will then crown four regional winners, a sustainability champion, a provider of the best Estrella Damm paired meal, and unveil the supreme champion at the awards ceremony in March, 2025.
With over a thousand gastropubs nationwide, competition is fierce, each offering something unique.
The coveted Top 50 list is poised to become a go-to dining guide for locals and visitors alike, highlighting the best gastropubs in the country and bringing much-deserved recognition to the thriving gastropub scene that often goes unnoticed in conventional culinary awards.

Entry to the awards is FREE for Hospitality NZ members and non members.

You can only enter your venue once per region. You can also enter your venue in Best Estrella Damm Paired Meal and Sustainability Champion.

Each entrant will receive a gift of 24 bottles of Estrella Damm. Any venue that signs up to stock Estrella Damm (or currently provides it), will be gifted complimentary Estrella Damm branded glassware.

Consumers can only vote once per region.

You are not required to serve Estrella Damm beverages so anyone can enter.
There are unique initiatives throughout the Top50 Gastropub Awards that are specific to Estrella Damm. If you are interested in these initiatives, please contact your local CCEP representative.

You are able to only vote for the gastropubs included in the list. Gastropubs from all corners of the country were invited to participate by entering their business in the awards. Those who chose to enter are included in the list.

Voting closes on 31st January 2025 at which point, final votes are counted. The top 50 list will be announced to media and or our website during the first week of February. A panel of distinguished hospitality judges will then crown seven regional winners and unveil the supreme champion at an awards ceremony on 26th March 2025.

The Estrella Damm Top 50 Gastropubs Awards ceremony will award the top venue of each of the four regions, the Best Estrella Damm Paired Meal and the overall Supreme Winner.
The evening will be celebrated with canape-style catering, drinks and dancing to a local entertainment.
